Live @ Keeneland – Fallstars Saturday
October 7th, 2011By Jude T. Feld

1st Race) GRAND CASH has run three bang-up races since returning from Barbados. Sharp trainer Wesley Ward drops him into a spot for action here with his go-to rider Jeffrey Sanchez in the saddle.
4th Race) Highly regarded by his connections, BRAVE FLEET ran second as an odds-on favorite last month at Hoosier Park. The experience of his last race and the extra distance of today’s race should both help him break through this afternoon.
5th Race) In a field laden with early speed types, we’ll embrace PERFECT OFFICER. He likes to win races, has competitive speed figures and a perfect pressing style for this race.
7th Race) Since joining the H. Graham Motion stable, DAVERON has blossomed into an ultra-consistent stakes performer. She has improved her Beyer speed figures in her last four starts and could move forward again today despite racing in this talented field.
8th Race) Probably one of the best bred two-year-olds in the country, TAKE CHARGE INDY has an excellent stallion career in his future. By A.P. Indy from Take Charge Lady, he is also bred to love Keeneland. Trainer Pat Byrne adds blinkers to his equipment this afternoon in an effort to keep the colt focused in the stretch, hoping to turn the tables on SHARED PROPERTY, who beat him in the Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3).
9th Race) GIO PONTI got a horrid ride in the Arlington Million (G1). He should have been in the winners’ circle, but had to settle for second. If Ramon Dominguez can work out a decent trip for the defending champion, the race is his.
