3rd race) Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard sends out LOVELY STAY in this rather weak maiden allowance event. She seems to have a decided edge in speed figures and has yet to finish out of the money in three starts -all on the synthetic track at Presque Isle Downs.
4th Race) HARBORPLACE and GOLDEN CAUSEWAY will draw plenty of betting action but RECOGNIZE comes off a solid second over the Polytrack at this level and seems to fit just as good. Hopefully he’ll stay around his 20-1 morning line odds.
8th Race) ATLANTIC BULL won his debut easily and then came back to run a good second in the Eillo Stakes, both at Calder. His bullet work at Keeneland shows he retains his sharpness and Garrett Gomez takes the call indicating the son of Stormy Atlantic has something on the ball.
