After eight years of fucking up the United States of America, Republicans showed their arrogance once again during President Obama’s Tuesday address. Seriously, they are the biggest bunch of losers since Zippy Chippy.

In the words of movie President Andrew Shepherd, “We have serious problems to solve and we need serious people to solve them.”

Where are the great Republicans? They offered an antique John McCain to the American people as a presidential candidate and the ridiculously overmatched Sarah Palin was hand-selected by the Republican braintrust as his running mate. Then, Tuesday night, they send out their “wunderkind” ace in the hole, Bobby Jindal, to rebut the President’s speech. Do they actually think this schmo is gonna save the Republican party?

The New York Times’ David Brooks, appearing on Charlie Rose, called Jindal’s pitiful Mr. Roger’s impersonation, “an unequivocal disaster.” Jindal is supposedly Obama’s biggest obstacle for re-election.

The Republicans need to get a clue!

Wow! The Hall of Fame committee went out on a limb and nominated Bob Baffert. Great job!

The other Bob on the ballot is the late Bob Wheeler, one of North America’s greatest filly trainers of all time and more importantly, a top-class, stand-up guy. If you didn’t learn anything about training horses while talkin’ to Bob Wheeler, it was because you weren’t listening.

Once again, the nominating committee failed to nominate Michael E. “Buster” Millerick. It looks like I am the only member of the press corps who fights for Buster anymore. Certainly some of the altercockers on the committee remember Hall of Fame trainer Laz Barrera’s idol, who trained the great Native Diver.

By the way, where is David Hofmans’ name on the ballot? How many Breeders’ Cup races and Classics do you have win to get a plaque in Saratoga?

Ed Bowen’s group needs to get a clue too.
