This has been a crazy Derby season so the wagering figures to be out of line as well. Here is my betting line for the race. Look for the overlays. No sense in taking a short price on a so-so horse when you can get a big number on other contenders. Best of luck!

#2 Brilliant Speed – Son of Barbaro’s sire looks good in the a.m. 8-1

#7 Pants on Fire – Training well after a big Louisiana Derby (G2) upset 8-1

#15 Midnight Interlude – Improving colt in the hands of Bob Baffert 8-1

#8 Dialed In – Can he finish going a mile and a quarter? 8-1

#13 Mucho Macho Man – Looks more robust since his New Orleans sojourn 10-1

#19 Nehro – Capable of big finishes 15-1

#16 Animal Kingdom – Never raced on dirt 20-1

#4 Stay Thirsty – Takes blinkers off after a disastrous Florida Derby (G1) 20-1

#14 Shackelford – Adds speed to the field 25-1

#1 Archarcharch – Not the way he is traveling 25-1

#6 Comma to the Top – Speedy and game but distance impaired 30-1

#12 Santiva – Poorly prepared for a Derby run 50-1

#10 Twinspired – Big effort in the Toyota Blue Grass (G1) 50-1

#9 Derby Kitten – Better on turf or synthetics 80-1

#5 Decisive Moment – Would need better than he has ever produced 99-1

#3 Twice The Appeal – Just not fast enough to win the Derby 99-1
